Dave Coulson  ´”Buggers, Clouser and beyond”

Dave Coulson is affiliated with Matt Snyders Fish Explorer internet website and is a frequent writer for the Coloradoan newspaper.  Dave’s expertise runs the gamete for trout and warm water flies. Dave will concentrate on tying his version of a mohair leach/woolly bugger pattern to start, with a discussion/demonstration of weighting options and how they can/do effect your flies’ presentation. This will be followed by several "clouser" variations based on different materials, and will conclude (time permitting) with a couple streamer patterns, essentially adaptations of saltwater patterns to fresh species, particularly pike flies.  Essentially he’d like to cover the core of what he typically fishes with in conjunction with shooting heads/sinking lines in lakes/reservoirs.
